| Abstract: | A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo investigar a construção do conceito de função e as perspectivas atuais para a aprendizagem desse conteúdo. A investigação é feita por meio de uma análise da construção histórica do conceito, analisando a importância das representações nesse processo, para, a seguir, serem investigadas concepções atuais em Educação Matemática que abordam a aprendizagem de funções. São estudados, nesse sentido, conceitos relacionados à Didática Francesa, em especial, a Teoria dos Registros de Representação Semiótica, desenvolvida por Raymond Duval, e as idéias propostas por estudiosos oriundos do grupo de pesquisa de Psicologia da Educação Matemática, relacionadas ao Sentido das Representações, com atenção destacada ao Sentido do Símbolo e ao Sentido do Gráfico. A partir dessas análises, são discutidas as concepções emergentes da investigação, confrontando as teorias das diferentes vertentes estudadas e as informações históricas levantadas, para, então, propor idéias para o ensino e aprendizagem do conceito de função, fundamentadas nas suas diversas formas de representação e suas implicações.
This research focused on the construction of the concept of function and the current prospects for learning this content. Research is done through an analysis of the historical construction of the concept, analyzing the importance of representations in this process, to then investigate current conceptions in Mathematics Education about the learning of functions. Are studied, with this proposal, concepts related to French Didactic, in particular, the Theory of the Registers of Semiotic Representation, developed by Raymond Duval, and the ideas proposed by scholars of the research group from the Psychology of Mathematics Education, related to the Representation Sense, carefully highlighted the meaning of the Symbol Sense and Graph Sense. From these analyses, emerging concepts of this research are discussed, confronting the theories of the different strands studied and the historical information raised, to propose ideas for the teaching and learning of the concept of function, based on their various forms of representation and its implications. |
