| Resumo: | Este trabalho faz parte da minha conclusão no curso de Escrita Criativa, área pouco conhecida, mas da qual me orgulho. Sonho com o dia em que não terei de explicar minha formação a ninguém e poderei apenas dizer “Escrita Criativa” com todas as letras, e será tão comum quanto qualquer outra área. Inspirada por minha própria experiência com a depressão e o suicídio, quis trazer um trabalho com o qual espero ajudar pessoas a entender e a buscar ajuda, se necessário. Então, para começar, este trabalho é dividido em duas partes: uma teórica e outra criativa. Na parte teórica, na forma de ensaio, falo sobre o conceito e história do suicídio, e sobre a importância de estabelecermos um diálogo aberto sobre o tema, a partir dos estudos de Bertolote (2012), Solomon (2018), Lenilson (2017), entre outros autores que se debruçaram sobre o tema. Trouxe também a análise de A redoma de vidro, de Sylvia Plath (1963), um relato que é um soco no estômago sobre a depressão, a sociedade e a importância do tratamento psiquiátrico. Este trabalho em definitiva é um grito por sobrevivência. A literatura é uma forma de diálogo, e relacioná-la à prevenção do suicídio poderia auxiliar a mudar um destino triste para o qual a sociedade está se encaminhando. Tenho essa esperança, assim como tenho a esperança de que as pessoas vão parar de achar loucos aqueles que querem estudar Escrita Criativa. Minha parte criativa é uma novela intitulada Notas de um coração dentro do abismo. Nasce de uma necessidade de expurgar em mim os sentimentos ruins e de mostrar o quanto valorizo a vida.
This study is part of my conclusion on the graduation of Creative Writing, an unfamiliar area that I´m proud of. I dream of the day I won´t have to explain my academic formation to anyone and I can just say “Creative Writing” in every letter and it will be as common as any other area. Inspired by my own experience with depression and suicide, I wanted to bring a study that I hope to help people to understand and seek help if necessary. So, to start, this work is divided into two parts: the theoretical part and the creative one. In the theoretical part, in the form of an essay, I write about the concept and history of suicide, and about the importance of establishing an open dialogue on the subject, based on the studies by Bertolote (2012), Solomon (2018), Lenilson (2017), among other authors who have focused on the topic. I also brough the analysis of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar (1963), a novel that is as a punch in the stomach about depression, society, and the importance of psychiatry treatment. This work is a cry out for survival. Literature is a form of dialogue and linking it to suicide prevention could help to change a sad fate towards which society is heading. I have that hope just as I hope that people will stop thinking those who want to study Creative Writing are crazy. The creative part is a novel titled Notes from a Heart Within the Abyss. It is born out from a need to purge myself from bad feelings and show how much I value life. |
