Comunicação preventiva à luz da cultura do cuidado: um olhar para as organizações educacionais

Abstract

A proposta dessa dissertação parte da nossa intenção em pesquisar sobre comunicação nas organizações educacionais, envolvendo o cenário de riscos e crises nesses espaços educativos. Para atender ao tema e à sua delimitação, definimos como objetivos: evidenciar em como os estudos sobre comunicação preventiva, à luz da cultura do cuidado, contribuem com a gestão de riscos e crises; Investigar se as organizações educacionais compreendem e aplicam [ou não] esses conceitos na gestão de riscos e crises; e Analisar como os conceitos de gestão de riscos e crises e comunicação preventiva, ancorada na cultura do cuidado, estão presentes em documentos/manuais/cartilhas sobre esse tema. As lentes do paradigma da complexidade servem como método para nossa pesquisa de caráter exploratório (Gil,2010) que buscou aproximar/tensionar os conceitos de risco, crise e comunicação preventiva de autores da área da comunicação. Recorremos igualmente às concepções sobre cultura do cuidado e ética do cuidado, colocando-as em diálogo com os conceitos de sinodalidade e integralidade que vêm sendo difundido no magistério do Papa Francisco (2013 - atual). Como procedimentos metodológicos, adotamos a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental (Gil, 2010), bem como a realização da análise da cartilha Recomendações para proteção e segurança no ambiente escolar (MEC, 2023). Intentamos com essa análise, aproximar os conceitos fundantes dessa pesquisa identificando e evidenciando os sentidos atribuídos e os contextos considerados no texto do documento. Para atender aos nossos objetivos, além dos demais procedimentos realizamos entrevistas em profundidade (Duarte e Barros, 2006) com os/as profissionais responsáveis pela gestão escolar e pela comunicação das maiores escolas em número de estudantes da rede pública e privada de Florianópolis.Com a avaliação da cartilha e a análise de discurso das entrevistas realizadas com as equipes das escolas – seguindo as perspectivas de Orlandi (2020) e Thompson (2009), traçamos um mapa conceitual para indicar como os estudos sobre comunicação preventiva, à luz da cultura do cuidado, podem contribuir com a gestão de riscos e crises em organizações educacionais.

The proposal of this dissertation stems from our intention to research communication in educational organizations, involving the scenario of risks and crises in these educational spaces. To address the theme and its delimitation, we have defined the following objectives: to highlight how studies on preventive communication, in light of the culture of care, contribute to risk and crisis management; to investigate whether educational organizations understand and apply these concepts in risk and crisis management; and to analyze how the concepts of risk and crisis management and preventive communication, anchored in the culture of care, are present in documents/manuals/booklets on this topic. The lenses of the complexity paradigm serve as a method for our exploratory research (Gil, 2010) that sought to approximate/tension the concepts of risk, crisis, and preventive communication from authors in the communication field. We also resort to conceptions of the culture of care and ethics of care, placing them in dialogue with the concepts of synodality and integrity that have been disseminated in the teaching of Pope Francis (2013 - present). As methodological procedures, we adopt bibliographical and documentary research (Gil, 2010), aiming to bring together/tension the concepts of risk, crisis, and preventive communication from authors in the communication field. We also refer to the conceptions of the culture of care and ethics of care, engaging them in dialogue with the concepts of synodality and integrality disseminated in Pope Francis's teachings (2013 - present). As methodological procedures, we adopted bibliographic and documentary research (Gil, 2010), as well as the analysis of the guide "Recommendations for protection and safety in the school environment" (MEC, 2023).With this analysis, we seek to approach the foundational concepts of this research, identifying and highlighting the meanings attributed and the contexts considered in the document's text. To fulfill our objectives, in addition to other procedures, we conducted in-depth interviews (Duarte and Barros, 2006) with professionals responsible for school management and communication in the largest public and private schools in Florianópolis. Through the evaluation of the guide and discourse analysis of the interviews conducted with school teams – following the perspectives of Orlandi (2020) and Thompson (2009) – we created a conceptual map to indicate how studies on preventive communication, guided by the culture of care, can contribute to the management of risks and crises in educational organizations.
