| Abstract: | O presente artigo propõe-se a discutir dois tópicos sobre o romance Sergio Y. vai à América, de Alexandre Vidal Porto: I) o conceito de personagem e a sua aplicação na construção da personagem LGBTQIA+; II) uma análise aprofundada sobre a personagem Sérgio e Sandra Yacoubian. Inicialmente, tenho por base Antonio Candido (1976) e Beth Brait (1985) para apresentar o debate sobre a temática central deste artigo. Além disso, trago a pesquisa de Regina Dalcastagné (2005), A personagem do romance brasileiro contemporâneo: 1990-2004. Finalmente, a análise sobre o destino da protagonista, apresentada pelo narrador. Com isso, também dialogo com Luiz Antônio de Assis Brasil (2019). Na segunda parte, para apresentar o conteúdo criativo, questões como a bissexualidade, família, solidão, sobrevivência e sentimentos serão abordadas a partir dos primeiros capítulos de um romance escrito pelo autor. Como referencial para a ideia principal, trago Desventuras em Série, Sérgio Y. vai à América, Oliver Twist e Fronteiras do Universo.
This article aims to discuss two topics about the novel Sergio Y. vai à América, by Alexandre Vidal Porto: I) the concept of character and its application in the construction of the LGBTQIA + character; II) an in-depth analysis of the character Sérgio and Sandra Yacoubian. Initially, I use Antonio Candido (1976) and Beth Brait (1985) to present the debate on the central theme of this article. In addition, i bring the research of Regina Dalcastagné (2005), A personagem do romance brasileiro contemporâneo: 1990-2004. Finally, the analysis of the protagonist's fate, presented by the narrator. With that, I also dialogue with Luiz Antônio de Assis Brasil (2019). In the second part, to present the creative content, issues such as bisexuality, family, loneliness, survival and feelings will be addressed from the first chapters of a novel written by the author. As a reference for the main idea, I bring Desventuras em Série, Sérgio Y. vai à América, Oliver Twist and Fronteiras do Universo. |
