| Abstract: | A presente monografia estuda o fenômeno das fake news no Brasil nas eleições gerais de 2018, tendo seu recorte no pleito a governador no estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Da mesma forma, abrange o papel do jornalismo para com a democracia, a crise de confiança acerca da profissão que surge em razão da indústria da notícia e saturação de informação e o surgimento e propagação das agências de checagem no âmbito nacional. Por fim, para análise, foi utilizada a iniciativa Filtro Fact-Checking e sua atuação com checagens e combate à desinformação acerca dos candidatos Eduardo Leite, do PSDB, e José Ivo Sartori, do MDB, que foram para o segundo turno das eleições.
This monograph examines the apparition of fake news in Brazil during the general elections of 2018, having the clipping in the election to governor in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Similarly covers the role of journalismin with democracy, the crisis of confidence about of the career that arises because of the news industry and saturation of information and the emergence and propagation of the agencies of checking in the national scope. Finally, for the analysis, the Filtro Fact-Checking initiative was used and its performance with checks and combat to the disinformation/misinformation about the candidates Eduardo Leite, from the PSDB, and José Ivo Sartori, from the MDB, who concurred in the second round of the elections. |
