| Abstract: | Este trabalho analisa as publicações sobre o auxílio econômico emergencial que foram veiculadas no jornal popular Diário Gaúcho durante o mês de abril de 2020. A medida sancionada pelo governo federal como resposta aos impactos da pandemia se mostrou mais relevante ao longo da realização da análise, considerando que foram atingidos mais de 67 milhões de beneficiários. A pesquisa teve como principal objetivo estudar como é construída a narrativa econômica em um veículo popular impresso, mais especificamente durante a pandemia de Covid-19. O método científico selecionado para o trabalho foi a análise pragmática da narrativa jornalística, definida por Motta (2008). Para atingir os objetivos através dessa metodologia, houve a realização da recomposição da cobertura sobre o auxílio como acontecimento jornalístico, identificação de conflitos, da construção dos personagens, das estratégias comunicacionais, da relação do jornal com seu público e do fundo moral norteador da narrativa. A partir desses passos, observou-se que o Diário Gaúcho tratou sobre a medida socioeconômica apenas pelo viés de serviço informativo, reduzindo o teor econômico da cobertura jornalística.
This monograph analyzes the publications on emergency economic assistance that were published in the popular daily newspaper Diário Gaúcho during April 2020. The measure sanctioned by the federal government in response to the impacts of the pandemic proved to be more relevant throughout the analysis, considering that it had reached 67 million beneficiaries. The research had as the main objective to study how the economic narrative is constructed in a popular press vehicle, more specifically during the Covid-19 pandemic. The scientific method selected for the work was the pragmatic analysis of the journalistic narrative, defined by Motta (2008). To achieve the objectives through this methodology, the coverage of emergency assistance as a journalistic event, identification of conflicts, of the construction of characters, of communication strategies, of the relationship of the newspaper with its audience and the moral background guiding the narrative were recomposed. From these steps, it was observed that the Diário Gaúcho dealt with the socioeconomic measure only through the information service bias, ignoring the economic content of the news coverage. |
