| Abstract: | A presente monografia discute o comportamento da mídia televisiva na cobertura da morte de Lázaro Barbosa. O Caso que recebeu uma grande repercussão Nacional, no qual o suspeito conseguiu fugir do cerco policial durante vinte dias. A pesquisadora levou em consideração para análise critérios éticos e o cuidado com os direitos humanos nas reportagens veiculadas no Jornal Nacional da Rede Globo e no Jornal da Record da Rede Record. O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar a relação do jornalismo com os direitos humanos a partir do Código de Ética da profissão. Utilizando como base para elaboração a análise de imagens em movimento de Diana Rose (2002) como método de pesquisa empírica. Para o embasamento teórico sobre ética jornalística e direitos humanos foram utilizados livros, artigos, reportagens e pesquisa em meios digitais utilizando como referenciais teóricos as obras de Traquina (2001), Ijuim (2017) e Christofoletti (2008). Para argumentar sobre a violência policial, cobertura da policial e sociedade do espetáculo foram utilizados Glassner (2003), Debord (1997) e Arendt (1985). A pesquisa compreende que foi apresentada uma narrativa no qual não obteve questionamentos sobre a operação policial, os telejornais realizaram exposições de imagem do suspeito, em vulnerabilidade não respeitando alguns princípios estabelecidos nos direitos humanos.
This monograph discusses the television media's behavior in transmitting the coverage of Lázaro Barbosa's death. The researcher considered the analysis of ethical criteria and the care for human rights in the reports published in Jornal Nacional and Jornal da Record. The objective was to verify the relationship between journalism and human rights following the profession's code of ethics in the face of the great repercussions that the case of Lázaro Barbosa had. For the theoretical basis, books, articles, reports and research in digital media were used on the topics of ethics, human rights, and principles of journalism, using as reference the works of Traquina (2001), Gentilli (2005), Ijuim (2017) and Christofoletti (2008). Glassner (2003), Férres (1988), Debord (1997) and Arendt (1985) were used for the basis of police violence, police coverage and society of the spectacle. The research concluded that a narrative was presented in which there were no questions about the police operation, and the television news exposed the suspect's image of vulnerability, not respecting some principles established in human rights. There was a mobilization with more than 270 public professionals in the search for a man, and even with all the technological support involved in the investigation that lasted more than 20 days, they could not arrest him. In an alleged exchange of fire, Lázaro was killed, and the police commemoration was broadcast on both news programs without any questioning from the media. |
