Teoria quântica e suas implicações na teologia: visão panorâmica e perspectivas

Abstract

A presente pesquisa pretende se debruçar sobre o campo do diálogo entre Teologia e ciências naturais. Especificamente, será abordada a temática da Teoria Quântica e suas implicações para a Teologia. A revisão bibliográfica trará possibilidades de compreender as interfaces entre as áreas em questão. Para visão ampla sobre o tema, será exposta a Teoria Quântica em si e serão abordados pontos de vista divergentes e convergentes em relação à postura da Igreja Católica de conciliação entre os dois campos epistemológicos. Documentos do Concílio Vaticano II, do Magistério recente e da Pontifícia Academia de Ciências apontam a postura de abertura e diálogo com as ciências naturais em geral e apresentam questões éticas envolvendo o uso da técnica desenvolvida como consequência da teoria quântica, como a Bomba Atômica e a Inteligência Artificial. Finalmente, serão expostas perspectivas na busca comum do encanto para com a realidade que se nos apresenta. Em momento conturbado de nossa história recente, marcado por negacionismos vinculados a “fideísmos”, a importância da Teologia se aproximar do campo das ciências naturais se torna evidente, pois as consequências sociais de uma fé afastada da razão provocam perdas irreparáveis no descuido com a vida.

The present research intends to focus on the field of dialogue between theology and natural sciences. Specifically, quantum theory and its implications for theology will be addressed. The literature review will bring possibilities of comprehension about the interfaces between the areas in question. For a broad view on the subject, the quantum theory itself will be exposed and divergent and convergent points of view will be addressed in relation to the Catholic Church’s position of conciliation between the two epistemological fields. Documents from the Second Vatican Council, the recent Magisterium and the Pontifical Academy of Sciences point to an attitude of openness and dialogue with the natural sciences in general and present ethical issues involving the use of the technique developed as a consequence of the quantum theory, such as the Atomic Bomb and the Artificial intelligence. Finally, perspectives will be revealed in the common search for (re)enchantment with the reality that is presented. In a troubled moment of our recent history, marked by denialism linked to “fideisms”, the importance of theology approaching the field of natural sciences becomes evident, as the social consequences of a faith far from reason cause irreparable losses in carelessness with life.
