Arte, estética, ideal: um sistema de Pedro Figari para sociedade do século XX

Abstract

A presente tese de doutorado tem como objetivo central analisar o sistema de explicação social desenvolvido por Pedro Figari em seu livro Arte, Estética, Ideal, publicada em 1912, identificando como essa composição teórica desenvolvida por Pedro Figari é um elemento que está presente em todos os suportes de produção do autor. Para tal, são investigados hermeneuticamente os três tomos que compõem a obra, bem como os diálogos cientificistas da segunda metade do século XIX e da primeira metade do século XX, que perpassam as argumentações desenvolvidas por Pedro Figari na elaboração de seu sistema.

The main objective of this doctoral thesis is to analyze the system of social explanation developed by Pedro Figari in his book Arte, Estética, Ideal, published in 1912, identifying how this theoretical composition developed by Pedro Figari is an element that is present in all author's production. To this end, the three volumes that make up the work are hermeneutically investigated, as well as the scientific dialogues of the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, which permeate the arguments developed by Pedro Figari in the elaboration of his system.
