| Abstract: | Este trabalho divide-se em duas partes: uma ensaística e outra ficcional. O ensaio consiste em um projeto de pesquisa e produção de conhecimento que pode ser dividido em três etapas. Na primeira delas, aborda-se a crise do paradigma moderno, baseado na objetividade, nas relações de causa e efeito, na compartimentação dos fenômenos complexos e na previsibilidade de leis estáveis. Apresentam-se os motivos factuais e ideológicos que levaram ao estremecimento da epistemologia racional, cuja aplicação alavancou múltiplas descobertas científicas até o século XX. Na sequência, delineiam-se as mais significativas ideias e concepções que emergiram nesse terreno de incertezas a que chamamos pós-modernidade, em oposição ao modelo antecedente. A segunda seção do ensaio estabelece o vínculo entre as considerações dos capítulos iniciais e o tema específico da literatura. Estudando as técnicas empregadas pelas narrativas contemporâneas para enfrentar a realidade complexa, percebe-se de que maneira as características associadas ao paradigma pós-moderno se entranham na escrita literária. Autores representativos, com obras publicadas entre o final do século XX e as primeiras décadas do século XXI, servirão de base à análise. Por fim, para transformar o estudo em um projeto realizável de escrita, serão propostas algumas direções e posturas que a literatura pode assumir diante das polifônicas verdades e descrenças que parecem enredar-se inextrincavelmente no mundo contemporâneo. Trazendo para os conflitos ficcionais os problemas que a sensibilidade artística é capaz de perceber, toma-se a literatura como meio de recompor – com os artifícios estéticos e intelectuais que lhe são inerentes – a realidade que perdeu sua perspectiva. A parte ficcional é composta pelo romance Gaiola de Esperar Tempestades, escrito a partir das reflexões, leituras e ideias que constituem o ensaio.
This work is divided into two parts: an essay and a fiction. The essay consists of a knowledge production and research project that can be divided into three stages. The first one addresses the crisis of the modern paradigm, based on objectivity, on cause and effect relations, on the compartmentalization of complex phenomena and on the predictability of stable laws. It presents the factual and ideological reasons that led to the shudder of rational epistemology, whose application leveraged multiple scientific discoveries until the twentieth century. In the sequence, the most significant ideas and conceptions that emerged in this field of uncertainties that we call postmodernity, as opposed to the previous model, are outlined. The second section of the essay establishes the link between the considerations of the opening chapters and the specific theme of literature. Studying the techniques used by contemporary narratives to confront complex reality, we can see how the characteristics associated with the postmodern paradigm are absorbed by literary writing. Representative authors, with works published between the end of the twentieth century and the first decades of the twenty-first century, serve as a basis for the analysis. Finally, in order to transform the study into an achievable project of writing, some directions and positions that literature can take on the polyphonic truths and disbeliefs that seem to be inextricably entangled in the contemporary world are proposed. Since it brings into fictional conflicts the real problems that the artistic sensibility is capable of perceiving, literature is taken as a means of recovering - with the aesthetic and intellectual artifices inherent to it - the reality that has lost its perspective. The fictional part is composed by the novel Gaiola de Esperar Tempestades, written from the reflections, readings and ideas that constitute the essay. |
