Governando vidas matáveis: as relações entre a saúde e a justiça dirigidas a jovens em conflito com lei

Abstract

Esta tese trata de uma pesquisa que problematiza as relações entre a saúde e a justiça voltadas para jovens em conflito com a lei, a partir do contexto de Porto Alegre/Brasil. O referencial teórico utilizado baseia-se em Michel Foucault e em Giorgio Agamben, principalmente nos conceitos de governo e de vida nua, respectivamente. Analisam-se os efeitos das práticas desses referidos saberes dirigidos a essa população, bem como se conclui que o modo de governar essa juventude reside em práticas tanatopolíticas; ou seja, trata-se mais de um governo sobre a morte do que sobre a vida desses adolescentes.

This thesis concerns a research that problematizes the relationship between health and justice services towards youth conflict with the law, from the Porto Alegre/Brazil’s context. The theoretical referencial used is based on Michel Foucault’s and Giorgio Agamben’s work, especially the concepts of government and naked life, respectively. It analysis the effects from these knowledge towards this population, as it has the conclusion that the way of government this sort of youth settles in tanatopolitics practices; i. e. , it means more a sort of government to the death than to the adolescents’s lives.
