Prazeres velados e silêncios suspirados: sexualidade e contravenções na região colonial italiana : 1920-1950

Abstract

A Região Colonial Italiana tem origem na política de colonização implantada pelo governo imperial brasileiro no final do século XIX. Nesta dissertação, pretende-se abordar e analisar algumas das lacunas referentes à história dessa região, principalmente as alusivas à sexualidade. Para isso, priorizou-se a interpretação da origem do forte discurso moralizante católico que construiu na memória do habitante dessa região a idéia de um cotidiano regrado e intransigente no que diz respeito ao sexo. Posteriormente, objetivou-se demonstrar as práticas sexuais contraventoras dessa moral, apresentando a sexualidade habitual, em contraponto à sexualidade discursiva. Por fim, apresentou-se a prostituição nessa região, comprovando a realidade das transgressões das normas católicas e institucionais relativas ao sexo.

The Colonial Italian Region began with the colonization policy introduce by the Brazilian imperial government in the end of the 19th century. This dissertation pretends aboard an analyze some from the gaps concerning on the region’s history, mostly the ones relating to sexuality. About to that, was prioritized the interpretation of the origin of the strong catholic speech that built in the region’s inhabitant memory the idea of a daily intransigent and full of rules about sex. Subsequently, it was aimed demonstrate the sexual practices that broke these moral rules, presenting the usual sexuality, in contrast to the discursive sexuality. Finally, it was presented the region’s prostitution proving the reality of transgression of institutional and catholic’s rules concerning sex.
