A fonte de todo o mal: os mandos e desmandos do Governo Bolsonaro durante as queimadas amazônicas de 2019 e a subversão da imagem pública conforme a Folha de São Paulo

Abstract

O trabalho aborda as influências e impactos de declarações e ações do governo Bolsonaro ao longo do período de crise das queimadas ocorridas na Floresta Amazônica em 2019. O recorte é feito a partir da cobertura da Folha de São Paulo nos meses de novembro e dezembro de 2019, período em que já era possível analisar os efeitos. A pesquisa se propõe a investigar como a imagem e reputação dos governantes, e também do país, fora afetada a partir das decisões e abordagens escolhidas para lidar com os incêndios criminosos. A partir dos conceitos de jornalismo ambiental de Bueno (2007), Trigueiro (2012) e Girardi (2012) e da abordagem de Weber (2004) e Gomes (2004) são analisadas as notícias da FSP. Também Barros Filho e Peres-Neto (2019), Bueno (2009) e Argenti (2006) embasam as reflexões sobre reputação, além de imagem. O conteúdo analisado se constitui de 16 textos, veiculados pela Folha de São Paulo, estudados a partir da metodologia de análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2011). Dentro dos modelos propostos pelos teóricos, foi possível concluir que Jair Bolsonaro e demais integrantes de seu governo subvertem as expectativas criadas em torno do comportamento de líderes de uma nação e, dessa forma, prejudicam a imagem e reputação construída na área ambiental ao longo de décadas.

The work approaches the influences and impacts of speeches and actions taken by the Bolsonaro governmet during the period of crisis due to the Amazon Rainforest fires in 2019. The cut is made from the coverage of Folha de São Paulo during the months of november and december of 2019, period in which it was already possible to analyze the effects. The researche aims to clarify if or how the image and reputation of the government officials, and also the coutry, were affected by the decisions and approches chosen to deal with the criminal fires. Starting from the environmental journalism, Bueno (2007), Trigueiro (2012) e Girardi (2012), conceptualize an define the main points of approach in the area. The authors Weber (2004) e Gomes (2004) are crucial to the analysis of the news under the image bias while Barros Filho e PeresNeto (2019), Bueno (2009) e Argenti (2006) base for reputation. The content analyzed consists of 16 texts, published by Folha de São Paulo, studied by the Bardin’s (2011) content analysis methodology. Within the models proposed by theorists, it was possible to conclude that Jair Bolsonaro and other members of his government subvert the expectations created around the behavior of nation leaders and, thus, they damage the image and reputation built in the environmental area over decades.
