| Abstract: | A presente dissertação tem como objetivo propor uma análise literária da personagem principal do romance O incolor Tsukuru Tazaki e seus anos de peregrinação, de Haruki Murakami. Para isso, em um primeiro momento desenvolvemos um cabedal teórico com o viés de inventariar os principais estudos sobre a personagem de ficção em um panorama cronológico, garantindo um embasamento apurado para as bifurcações que propomos a partir dele: a personagem como um sujeito do discurso e o seu processo de figuração. Seguimos a concepção de que a personagem ficcional existe somente através do âmbito discursivo e investigamos como Tsukuru Tazaki se prosta frente à realidade que a narrativa lhe entrega pelas palavras, com base nas ideias de Mikhail Bakhtin (2010), com a intenção de perceber se a definição proporcionada pelo discurso de um herói autoconsciente pode ser estendida à personagem. Posteriormente, apropriamo-nos da figuração, enquanto um termo utilizado por Carlos Reis (2018), para averiguar aquilo que faz com que a vida de Tsukuru seja trazida à tona pela narração; quais técnicas e elementos são utilizados no discurso para que se crie uma imagem não estática e pétrea da personagem, que é, na verdade, uma entidade dinâmica e um elemento semântico de grande potência para o discurso romanesco. Paralelamente, seguimos a concepção de que os elementos narrativos constituem uma rede interligada com o desígnio de proporcionar a fluição do romance, com a finalidade de perceber como o tempo e o espaço ficcionais contribuem ativamente para o processo de figuração da personagem.
This dissertation aims to propose a literary analysis of the main character of the novel Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and his years of pilgrimage , by Haruki Murakami. For this, at first, we developed a theoretical background with the aim of listing the main studies on the fictional character in a chronological panorama, guaranteeing an accurate foundation for the bifurcations that we propose from it: the character as a subject of the discourse and its process of figuration. We follow the conception that the fictional character exists only through the discursive scope and we investigate how Tsukuru Tazaki prostrates himself in front of the reality that the narrative gives him through the words, based on the ideas of Mikhail Bakhtin (2010), with the intention of perceiving if the definition provided by the discourse of a self-conscious hero can be extended to the character. Subsequently, we appropriate figuration, as a term used by Carlos Reis (2018), to find out what causes Tsukuru's life to be brought up by the narration; which techniques and elements are used in the discourse to create a non-static and stony image of the character, which is, in fact, a dynamic entity and a semantic element of great power for the novelistic discourse. At the same time, we take advantage of the conception that the narrative elements constitute an interconnected network with the aim of providing the flow of the novel, with the purpose of perceiving how fictional time and space actively contribute to the process of character figuration. |
