| Abstract: | A discussão que nos propomos a fazer neste trabalho diz respeito às determinações sócio-históricas do desenvolvimento capitalista, inserindo o turismo nesse contexto, de modo a desvelar as contradições existentes na trama e a sua relação com a pobreza e as condições de vida dos trabalhadores usuários da assistência social, os quais tiveram experiência profissional nesse ramo. Não negando a importância que o turismo tem para o crescimento econômico das cidades, questionamos se vem contribuindo para o seu desenvolvimento e para o enfrentamento da pobreza. Essa discussão se faz necessária e urgente, trazendo a profissão do Serviço Social para junto do debate acerca da temática do turismo, visto ser uma atividade que vem crescendo e ocupando os espaços da cidade, muitas vezes de forma a excluir e a causar estranhamento aos trabalhadores. Além disso, o turismo utilizado como mercadoria rebate diretamente nas condições de vida dos trabalhadores usuários da assistência social. Para a realização da pesquisa, foi utilizado o método materialista dialético histórico, a fim de conhecer e desvendar a realidade medi ada pela totalidade, contradição e historicidade, sendo essas as categorias dialéticas utilizadas nesta investigação. Para a análise da realidade, com o intuito de identificar fenômenos que nos auxiliam a explicar o nosso problema de pesquisa, foram utilizadas categorias explicativas da realidade que, nesse contexto, são: turismo, desenvolvimento e pobreza. O enfoque da pesquisa é o misto (quanti qualitativo), visando garantir uma investigação mais profunda quanto ao objeto de estudo, sendo que, para a anál ise dos dados qualitativos, utilizar se á a técnica de análise de conteúdo.
The discussion that we propose to make in this work concerns the socio-historical determinations of capitalist development, inserting tourism in this context in order to unveil the existing contradictions in the plot and its relationship with poverty and the living conditions of workers who use social assistance. who had professional experience in this field. Not denying the importance that tourism has for the economic growth of cities, we question whether it has contributed to their development and to the fight against poverty. This discussion is necessary and urgent, bringing the profession of Social Work to the debate on the topic of tourism, as it is an activity that has been growing and occupying the spaces of the city, often in order to exclude and make workers feel strange. Furthermore, tourism used as a commodity directly affects the living conditions of workers who use social assistance. To carry out the research, the historical dialectical materialist method was used, in order to know and unveil the reality mediated by totality, contradiction and historicity, these being the dialectical categories used in this investigation. For the analysis of reality, in order to identify phenomena that help us explain our research problem, explanatory categories of reality were used, which in this context are: tourism, development and poverty. The focus of the research is mixed (quanti-qualitative), with a view to ensuring a deeper investigation about the object of study, and for the analysis of qualitative data the technique of content analysis will be used. |
