Imagens da desagregação e da violência: insurreições contra a totalidade racionalista

Abstract

A dissertação é uma reflexão a respeito das concepções de ciência e métodos de conhecimento adotados de forma totalitária ao longo da história, e principalmente sobre as violentas conseqüências destas escolhas para a humanidade. Explora-se as imagens afloradas das artes plásticas, poesia e prosa, com dupla finalidade: encontrar o retrato da cosmovisão de cada momento histórico, e, fundamentalmente, analisar a força subversiva que delas irrompe. O recorte parte dos séculos XVII e XVIII, época em que a tônica da ciência era o racionalismo, nos moldes iluministas de sistema fechado, e de crença na possibilidade de apreensão total da realidade. Os catastróficos acontecimentos que tiveram lugar entre o final do século XIX e meados do XX atingiram o ideário humano a ponto de provocar uma crise de sentido e de representação, e o questionamento do que se entendia por ciência (crise epistemológica), ensejando a discussão sobre a mutilação perpetrada ao se considerar científico somente o conhecimento obtido através da razão, e sobre a violência deste racionalismo totalitário. A pesquisa acompanha a atualidade, com as suas modificações de mundo inerentes (relações intersticiais, aceleração, complexidade), propondo, ao final, a idéia de conhecimento como produto da solidariedade entre a razão e a sensibilidade, o emocional, o instintual, ou seja, uma racionalidade autocrítica, aberta e criativa, como forma de se pensar com maior clareza sobre possibilidades viáveis de uma ciência mais consciente de si e por isto otimizadora da co-existência humana.

The dissertation is a reflection about conceptions of science and methods of knowledge adopted as a totalitarian way all along the history, and mainly on the violent consequences of these choices for the humanity. Images arisen from plastic arts and expressions from poetry and chats are used in this study with a double purpose: to find a picture of the cosmovision of each historical moviment and, basically, analyze the subversive force that burst of them. The clipping has been made from the 17th and 18th centuries, when the focus of science was the rationalism, as an iluminism closed system, and the belief that could be possible the apprehension of whole reality. The catastrophic facts occured beetwen the early 19th century and the half of 20th century have reached the human ideas in a such way that provoked a crisis of meaning, representation, and the question about what should be understood as science (epistemologic crisis). This question have started the argue about the mutilation maden in only considering scientific the knowledge gotten through the reason and on the violence of this totalitarian rationalism. The study follows the present time, with its inherent changes of world (interstitial relations, acceleration, complexity), to considering, eventually, the knowledge idea as product of solidarity between the reason and sensitivity, the emotion, the instinct, or either, an opened, self-critic and creative rationality, as way of thinking more clearly on true possibilities of a more conscientious science of itself and because of this catalyst of the human coexistence.
