A vinheta e sua evolução através da história: da origem do termo até a adaptação para os meios de comunicação

Abstract

Este trabalho resgata a história da vinheta e sua importância dentro da comunicação. Desde sua origem nas artes gráficas, ela sofreu transformações, mas nunca perdeu sua função básica, que é a de ornamentar formas já estabelecidas. Sua natureza tem se afirmado tanto pela variação no campo da imagem como da permanência da função que exerce sobre a atenção do receptor. A multiplicidade de contextos pelos quais migrou submeteu-a a uma constante mudança de formas tanto gráficas como sonoras. É sobre esse desenrolar da vinheta no tempo e adaptação ao espaço que está comprometida esta pesquisa.

This paper is intended to retrieve the history of the vignette and its importance within the area of communication. Ever since its origin and early introduction into the graphic arts, it has undergone a lot of transformations, but never lost its basic function, to wit, that of embellishing already established graphical formats. Its nature has asserted itself both across its variations throughout the field of imagery and its permanence within the function it exerts upon the receiver's attention. The multiplicity of contexts which it has migrated into prodded it to a constant change of both graphical and sound shapes. It is over this development of the vignette along the timeline and its adaptation to the available space that this research is settled upon.
